Marian Martin can’t remember a time when she wasn’t around boats of some kind, but it needed an introduction to inland waterways to turn her into an addict. She is a regular contributor to Practical Boat Owner, Motor Boat and Yachting, Classic Boat and Fluviale (French). She is the author of European Waterways (Adlard Coles Nautical).
Marian Martin is an experienced journalist who has written for major boating consumer and industry magazines in both the US and UK. In 2001, she became editor of the internet magazine Boats, Yachts, & Marinas; by 2003, the site had reached over half a million hits.
